My career started immediately after high school in 1990. My training helped me obtain my first role with a construction business in Greenville, SC. From there, I advanced through trade schools and climbed the ranks. Eventually, I joined one of the largest construction companies globally, serving as a Foreman until the pandemic disrupted everything.
I recognized this as an ideal time to pursue different avenues. Having seen friends face challenges in finding quality service for their homes, and experiencing similar issues myself, the idea to start Rent A Guy Upstate with my daughter and youngest son came to me.
We officially opened our doors on March 1, 2022, marking 10 days of service. So far, we have carried out 5 or 6 successful jobs. We are currently tackling our biggest challenge yet: advertising.
