Paul Lavallee - Owner and Founder, Master Electrician

Connecting individuals is fundamental to Paul’s approach. From hosting cookouts on his deck, collecting fine whiskey, and brewing craft beer to supporting live music events and festivals, he is dedicated to gathering people to share experiences.

Paul, a classically trained trombonist, has an eclectic taste in music, appreciating everything from Bach to Metallica, Cake, Jared & The Mill, and a variety of lesser-known artists. He performs with the Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra, Dem Bones—a trombone quartet, and Bone Wagon—a brass rock band.

In addition to running Lavallee Electrical Services, Paul has served as an advanced-level electrical instructor at the Mississippi Construction Education Foundation for the past five years.

Paul and his wife are working on a home renovation in Clinton, and he’s likely preparing a pork loin on the grill tonight.

During the off-season, I offered Handy services, but now I want to slow down and focus on what I truly enjoy. I pride myself on being a professional who respects the original design and execution of my tasks.

I subcontracted with the Handy app for four years in Gulfport, Mississippi, covering areas from New Orleans to the Alabama coast. My work includes installing, repairing, or replacing electrical garage doors, roof repairs, sheetrock refinishing, vinyl siding repairs, appliance fixes, electrical outlets, plumbing repairs, and the installation of products ordered online. I hold certifications as a carpenter in San Diego, CA, and as a maintenance technician in Las Vegas, NV. At 16, I attended Job Corps, and at 17, I enrolled in maintenance school in Las Vegas, where I learned texturing, priming, refinishing, electrical work, appliance repair, A/C heating troubleshooting, and plumbing installation and repair. When I turned 20, I moved to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, got married, and raised my children. I spent six years managing a furniture store, where I also sought side jobs in the fields I had trained in. I then became a successful automotive painter for six years, where I also learned bodywork and collision repair, continuing in that field for over a decade. Later, I worked as a PDR technician for about ten years, following storms, and in my spare time, I took on handyman jobs. I have spent the past five years working in Gulfport, and now I have chosen to relocate to Jackson. And here I am, embracing another lovely day.
