Founded in 1964 by Wesley E. Surgi, Surgi's has a rich history. During the years 1978 to 1981, Surgi's was recognized as the largest Trane dealer across the United States. With a focus on new construction, Mr. Surgi significantly contributed to the development of the Metairie, Kenner, Slidell, and Mandeville/Covington suburbs of New Orleans. During this time, Surgi's accounted for 80% of all new construction mechanical permits filed in Jefferson Parish, LA.

In 1995, ownership of Surgi's transitioned to Debra and Craig Johnson. Mr. Johnson holds a Mechanical Contractors license for the State of Louisiana and all necessary licenses for Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, St. John's, and St. Charles Parishes. He, his wife Debra, and their two children, Evan and Rachael, reside in the New Orleans area.

Surgi's has changed throughout the years. Starting as a new construction firm, Surgi's has expanded its product offerings to include service for all brands of heating and air conditioning equipment, as well as replacements.
