One instructor, Carlita Martinez, an electrician, brought in materials for hands-on learning. She brought a large piece of plywood, pipes, junction boxes, and wires. She taught us the workings of a light switch by having us bend pipes, connect wires, and assemble an electrical box. I knew instantly that this was the path I wanted to pursue. This experience was a profound transformation, a shift in my understanding, thinking, ""Wow, this is my passion."".
