David's journey started in Tennessee's Nashville working for his parent's family business wiring hotels in the area from scratch. In 1997, he transferred to Arizona's Phoenix to attend ASU, where he received a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. Soon after graduating, he launched his first electrical business at the age of 24. In 2008, during the economic downturn, he opted to shut down his company and move to Maui. From that point on, he has worked for several local companies wiring many notable sites, lodgings and enterprises before launching his own business. Over the years, he has perfected his craft to the highest standard. He is dedicated to delivering quality work and outstanding customer service. His goal is to assist his neighborhood by being accessible and providing the highest quality electrical services with outstanding customer service at competitive rates.

The owner of Makai Power Systems is John Cano. With more than 30 years in the industry, he stays connected to the community through his support of local schools and providing small repair services to the residents. Although his focus is on commercial and solar work, he loves working directly in the field, asserting that no job is too minor as he frequently mentions!
