After retiring from the Air Force, Ed and Barbara Hammond launched the business. Ed graduated from Griffin Technical College, specializing in HVAC and Electrical. The business began as a modest venture with only Ed and Barbara on board. Before long, their reputation for quality service attracted more customers, and the team grew. The first employee they brought on was Jeff Snow, an HVAC technician. To this day, Jeff is still with Hammond Services. In 1989, Wayne Hughes joined the team, expanding their services to include plumbing. David Hammond, Ed and Barbara's son, became part of the business in 1994. David graduated with an engineering degree in 1982 and worked in a corporate setting for 12 years prior to joining. David became the President of Hammond Services when Ed and Barbara retired in 1998.
