Jerry L Martin, our president and license holder, comes from Highland, Indiana. In 1970, following his father's retirement, the family moved to Lee County, Florida. Jerry attended Ft Myers Middle School and graduated from Ft Myers High School in 1977. Over the years, Jerry has actively supported youth athletics in Lee County. He has coached youth soccer with the Cape Coral Soccer Association and youth basketball through the Youth Basketball Association of Lee County (YBA). Additionally, he supports Bishop Verot High School and its athletic programs.

Debbie Martin, our secretary/treasurer, is a transplant from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. In 1972, her family relocated to Lee County, Florida, because of a job transfer. She graduated from Ft Myers High School in 1979 and earned a BS degree in Finance from the University of South Florida.

In 1980, Jerry and Debbie met and were married in 1982. They welcomed their only child, Nick, in 1984. In 2003, Nick graduated from Bishop Verot High School and went on to graduate from the University of South Florida in 2008.

I have successfully operated this business for the past 27 years. In 1990, I began offering lighting products and repairs under the fire equipment name, and the business continued to expand until I established a new company, West Coast Lighting of SW FL, in January 2001. In 2015, we rebranded to West Coast Electrical & Lighting Services to better represent our current offerings. I have received training in specialized equipment to diagnose electrical problems and have over 25 years of experience in this area. We are the go-to company when others cannot resolve the issue.
