Mark E. Smith, a third-generation electrician, has extensive knowledge in the field. Following high school, Mark gained hands-on experience as an electrical apprentice at his father's business, John S. Smith Electrical Contractors, Inc., while also completing four years of electrical trade school. He achieved the status of Journeyman Electrician in 1990. In 1999, Mark passed his State Certified Electrical Contractor's Exam with a score of 92%, a challenging feat.

In the early 2000s, Flagler County's new construction sector was thriving. Unfortunately, smaller jobs were often overlooked due to a lack of available contractors. In 2001, after a year of careful thought, Mark transitioned from his father's business, which primarily catered to new construction, to found Electrical Wiring Solutions, Inc. to serve the service needs of our community. We are thankful for the guidance we've received, the clients we serve, and the relationships we've nurtured over the years.

Mark has lived in Flagler County since 1978. Mark's electrical career began in 1984 as an apprentice; he became a licensed Journeyman Electrician in 1989, earned his State Certified Electrical Contractor license in 1999, and founded Electrical Wiring Solutions, Inc. in 2001.

In 1989, Mark married Jarnette Leverett, and they have been blessed with eight children. In our family-run business, every member contributes. When you reach out to our office, you will likely hear Jarnette's voice, as she manages all administrative tasks. Our older sons are gaining experience in various facets of the trade, skills that will serve them well in the future.

Prior to founding GenerX Generators Inc., I invested 17 years in the automotive repair industry, concentrating on engine performance and fuel consumption reduction. During high school, I attended classes for home wiring and general automotive repair. Back in 1992, I earned first place in the Residential Wiring and Automotive Knowledge contest for the Florida through the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America. In 1997, I returned to VICA as a competition judge for both the wiring and automotive contests. I also held an ASE Master Technician Certification for auto for six years. Along with that, I achieved my Yamaha Outboard Engines certifications for engines rated at 250HP. After that, I spent seven years with a fuel additives company, BG Products Inc. (BG), where I quickly rose to the 7th highest producer among 1,100 salespeople. With BG, I was trained in all aspects of petroleum products. Now, I enjoy the President of the company!
