After five years in the industry, he became a licensed journeyman electrician and obtained his master electrician's license in 1986. It was during this time that he decided to establish his own company.

Jerry L Martin, the president and license holder, originally hails from Highland, Indiana. After his father retired in 1970, the family relocated to Lee County, Florida. Jerry attended Ft Myers Middle School and graduated from Ft Myers High School in 1977. Over the years, Jerry has actively supported youth athletics in Lee County. He has coached youth soccer with the Cape Coral Soccer Association and youth basketball through the Youth Basketball Association of Lee County (YBA). Additionally, he supports Bishop Verot High School and its athletic programs.

Debbie Martin, the secretary/treasurer, is originally from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Debbie's family moved to Lee County, Florida, in 1972 as a result of a job transfer. She graduated from Ft Myers High School in 1979 and earned a BS degree in Finance from the University of South Florida.

Jerry and Debbie crossed paths in 1980 and got married in 1982. They welcomed their only child, Nick, in 1984. In 2003, Nick graduated from Bishop Verot High School and went on to graduate from the University of South Florida in 2008.
