Jerry L Martin, our president and license holder, comes from Highland, Indiana. In 1970, following his father's retirement, the family moved to Lee County, Florida. He went to Ft Myers Middle School and graduated from Ft Myers High School in 1977. Throughout the years, Jerry has been involved in supporting youth sports in Lee County. He has coached youth soccer with the Cape Coral Soccer Association and youth basketball through the Youth Basketball Association of Lee County (YBA). Moreover, he is a supporter of Bishop Verot High School and its athletic programs.

Debbie Martin, the secretary/treasurer, is originally from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. In 1972, her family relocated to Lee County, Florida, because of a job transfer. Debbie graduated from Ft Myers High School in 1979 and holds a BS degree in Finance from the University of South Florida.

Jerry and Debbie crossed paths in 1980 and got married in 1982. Their only child, Nick, was born in 1984. Nick completed his education at Bishop Verot High School in 2003 and graduated from the University of South Florida in 2008.

In 1990, I began selling lighting products and performing repairs under the fire equipment name, and the business flourished until I created a new entity, West Coast Lighting of SW FL, in January 2001. In 2015, we changed our name to West Coast Electrical & Lighting Services to better align with our current operations.
