Initially, the focus was on delivering fire alarms and extinguishers to businesses and residential neighborhoods, but the team quickly diversified into emergency lighting and all forms of commercial lighting.

In January 1981, I entered the fire equipment field, just a week after finishing high school, by taking a position at Fountain Fire Equipment in Ft Myers, FL. After eight years of advancing as far as I could within the company, I decided to launch my own business, which I did in December 1988, naming it West Coast Fire Equipment, Inc. For the past 27 years, I have run this business successfully. In 1990, I began selling lighting products and performing repairs under the fire equipment name, and the business flourished until I created a new entity, West Coast Lighting of SW FL, in January 2001. In 2015, we updated our name to West Coast Electrical & Lighting Services to more accurately reflect our services today. I am trained in using specialized tools to identify electrical issues and bring over 25 years of experience to the table.
