During my time at Parks College of Aeronautical Technology in Illinois, I met Anne, who would eventually be my wife. We settled in Burbank, California, where I finished my apprenticeship, passed the California Electrical Contractor Test, and received my license. I started Modern Electric in 1984 to provide services to the local community. Subsequently, I went to Parks College of Aeronautical Technology in Illinois, obtaining my commercial pilot and multi-engine licenses. I met my wife Anne there, and I chose to stay grounded and raise a family.

We eloped and settled in Burbank, California, where I began my apprenticeship with a licensed electrical contractor and worked as a plant electrician for Pacific Aero.

Although I enjoyed my time at Pacific Aero, I sought a more direct connection with the community, leading me to establish Modern Electric in 1984.

It has been a great blessing to witness all four of our children graduate from Burbank Schools!
