McNamara Electric excels in high-quality electrical work, supporting the Napa Valley area since the year 1987. Our projects include high-end wineries such as Sutter Home Winery, Beringer, Charles Krug, the Quintessa estate, Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Trinchero Vineyards, and more. Bill McNamara, the owner provides superior customer service and strives to complete every job effectively and safely. Identifying a good electrician who takes pride in the task and the client is challenging. Bill does not cut corners in his work.
We focus on high-end residential projects as well as industrial electrical projects. We take on all types of electrical jobs that demand prompt service and top quality.
Bill McNamara, a licensed electrical contractor since 1976, has been a licensed electrical contractor. Bill's journey began helping out in the family business in Atascadero, CA, where his dad established a local electrical company. At the young age of 13, Bill wired his initial home and shortly thereafter knew he wanted to create a venture. Bill moved to Napa Valley in 1986 and started his contracting career at a Raceway for seven years called Sears Point Raceway, now known as Infineon. As the wine industry in Napa Valley expanded, McNamara Electric also grew. The demand for electrical contractors increased as wineries were constructed. For a decade and a half, Bill subcontracted a reputable electrical company when required. At present, he offers emergency calls and small jobs.
Bill currently resides on a farm in Angwin, CA. He backs a local Midget Sprint car driver, Britton Bock, a talented driver. He takes all his projects—whether in his profession or during his free time—with dedication and gives it his all. He consistently has innovative suggestions—whether it’s about where to install a light fixture or the type of light bulbs to use. Clients frequently say praise, exclaiming, “Wow, great idea, Bill!”.
