Back in 2005, Acme Detection started to assist the residents of Santa Barbara. We were working on multiple construction jobs and frequently encountered challenges in locating leaks. Other companies providing leak detection services were either backed up for weeks and demanding high fees. We took matters into our own hands to find leaks using a single vehicle to accelerate our work and currently have three vehicles throughout the greater Santa Barbara area.

Gary Fuller is a lifelong resident of Santa Barbara. He holds licenses as a licensed general contractor, electrician, and a plumber as well as a member of the California Bar. Gary focuses on leak detection service calls, and is knowledgeable about nearly all aspects of the construction industry. Outside of work, he is an avid surfer and boat enthusiast and spends as much time on the water as he can.

I embarked on a five-year apprenticeship in 1990 with Local 11 in Los Angeles County, concentrating on Commercial/Industrial Inside Wireman. By 1995, I became a certified Journeyman. During my twelve years in the industry, I worked on various notable projects, including Lockheed, Santa Clara County Hewlett-Packard, and underground high voltage for universities and hospitals. I have worked on various projects, including the Universal Studios ET ride, remodels at the Beverly Hills Hotel, oil refineries, Vons supermarkets, and Glendale Memorial Hospital, among others.

In 2003, I established my own business and obtained my California C-10 Electrical Contractor license. By 2005, I was constructing cutting-edge car washes in Southern California. My proudest achievement is the California Speed Wash in Simi Valley. My experience includes wiring a variety of structures, from homes and barns to stores, offices, and cement plants. With 30 years of experience, I have handled hundreds of residential and commercial jobs. I have consistently been in good standing with the Contractors Board. I have clients I’ve worked with for over 15 years.

I came into the world in Simi Valley, CA, during a hot August in 1965. I was raised in Moorpark, making me part of the fifth generation in Ventura County. At 17, after high school, I served three years as an Army Helicopter Mechanic. I went to Moorpark College at the age of 20.

Prior to 24, I worked in several roles, such as Grocery Clerk, Auto Detailer, Autobody Technician, and Construction Laborer. I have a passion for reading, sports, and home improvement projects that include woodworking. I watch many shows, including American Pickers, Gas Monkey Garage, Swamp People, DIY programs, and of course, the Food Network. I value my family and friends deeply. I take life one day at a time.
