We settled in Burbank, California, where I finished my apprenticeship, passed the California Electrical Contractor Test, and received my license. In 1984, I established Modern Electric to cater to local customers. After that, I attended Parks College of Aeronautical Technology in Illinois, where I earned my commercial pilot and multi-engine licenses. I met my wife Anne there, and I chose to stay grounded and raise a family.

We chose to elope and relocated to Burbank, California, where I started an apprenticeship with a licensed electrical contractor and took a job as a plant electrician for Pacific Aero.

Even though working at Pacific Aero was fun, I desired a closer connection to the community, prompting me to start Modern Electric in 1984.

Seeing all four of our children graduate from Burbank Schools has been a tremendous blessing!
