During my time at Parks College of Aeronautical Technology in Illinois, I met Anne, who would eventually be my wife. We relocated to Burbank, California, where I completed an apprenticeship, passed the California Electrical Contractor Test, and obtained my license. I started Modern Electric in 1984 to provide services to the local community. Following that, I studied at Parks College of Aeronautical Technology in Illinois, where I received my commercial pilot and multi-engine licenses. It was there that I met my wife Anne, and I decided to stay grounded to raise a family.

We decided to elope and moved to Burbank, California, where I began an apprenticeship with a licensed electrical contractor and worked as a plant electrician for Pacific Aero.

While my time at Pacific Aero was enjoyable, I wanted to engage more directly with the community, so I founded Modern Electric in 1984.

It has been a great blessing to witness all four of our children graduate from Burbank Schools!
