I have spent my career gaining knowledge and experience right here in San Luis Obispo as the owner. I kicked off my career by obtaining an associate's degree in Electrical Technology at Cuesta College. It taught me the basics of electricity along with crucial elements for running a successful business. After completing my degree, I pursued my journeyman's certification and gained experience in various electrical settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial. With a solid educational foundation and a decade of experience in the electrical field, I am excited to introduce 5 Star Electric!

William graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree from Cal Poly. Edward received his degree in Industrial Technology from Cal Poly. In 1989, Bill and Ed took over the business from their parents. Electrical Engineering was integrated into our services in 1981 and has expanded consistently since then. The average number of employees is around 60 to 70, but we peaked at 150 while working on a five-story hospital project in Santa Maria for Marian Hospital in 2011. Our company includes divisions for Electrical Engineering, Major Electrical Construction, Small Electrical Construction, and Electrical Services. “Every project matters, no matter the scale”.
