Back in 2000, I came to California on vacation. I was employed as an Electrical supervisor for Raytheon located in Micronesia. I became enamored with the environment plus the richness of the locals in the area, it was amazing. Being a licensed electrician in two additional states for the past two decades, thus the change was fairly easy. I finished my assignment with them and went back in 2001, during which time I was employed here as an electrician for the Parrott Mechanical team, during my time getting ready for the state contractor exam for electrical contractors, and I cleared it the first go and legally went into business, specifically on December 21, 2001. This was the start of Peebles Electric Service. I’ve never experienced any hesitations and that decision. I have a passion for my trade and a deeper motivation to serve my clients, and that alone has been my key to success in such a competitive & challenging industry. I go by Gordon Peebles. My electrical experience started at age 8. I was always curious about the strange science of electrical systems. In third grade, my teacher got me involved in a youth club called the 4-H Club, which introduced me to electrical concepts. I explored electricity for four years and then interned with the neighborhood electrician on the weekends for field experience, then later in my high school years for another 4 years earning a certificate in Electrical technology. After high school, I landed a full-time job as an electrical apprentice where I gained the skills of operating electrical equipment, installation and applications of systems, reading blueprints and troubleshooting electrical systems. Afterward completed a 2-year course at Sumter Area Technical College in: Electrical Maintenance Technology and State Electrical Exam, resulting in two journeyman certifications, one from the South Carolina and the state of Massachusetts. Three years later, I was admitted to M.I.T. and received an Associate of Arts degree in Electrical Engineering. I strive to be reliable, equitable, and committed.

Having grown up in the Bay Area, I am a veteran of the Navy with a decade of service. I am certified as a C-10 and C-46 electrical and solar contractor (CSLB #1080386). My focus is on providing electrical services, including solar energy solutions as part of my services. I operate as an independent contractor, unlike many others, which allows me to ensure personal accountability and uphold quality in each project for the residents of my hometown.
