In 2000, I came to California on vacation. I held a position as an Electrical supervisor for Raytheon Systems based in the Micronesian region. I became enamored with the climate and the variety of the community residing here, it was incredible. I was already a licensed electrician in a couple of other states for over the past twenty years, thus the change was relatively simple. I finished my contract with them and returned in 2001, during which time I worked here as an electrician for the Parrott Mechanical team, during my time getting ready for the state exam for electrical contractors, and I cleared it the first go and legally started my own business, specifically on December 21, 2001. This marked the beginning of Peebles Electric Service. I have never had any hesitations and that choice. You can call me Gordon Peebles. My electrical experience began at eight years old. I was always curious about the intricacies of electrical energy. In third grade, my teacher introduced me to a youth club called the 4H club, which focused on electricity. I explored electricity for four years and then worked with the community electrician on the weekends for field experience, then later in my high school years for four additional years earning a diploma in Electrical studies. Once I completed high school, I landed a full-time job as an electrical apprentice where I learned the skills of electrical tools use, setting up and applications, interpreting blueprints and diagnosing systems. I then completed a 2-year course at Sumter College in: Electrical Technology and the state electrical exam, earning 2 Journeyman certifications, one for the South Carolina and Massachusetts. Three years later, I gained admission to M.I.T. and received an Associate of Arts degree in Electrical Engineering. I consider myself trustworthy, fair, & devoted.
