In 1978, I started a business fueled by a passion for water systems that grew into irrigation services for recreational areas, sports fields, and local businesses throughout Southern California. Our experience in irrigation broadened into the energy sector, where we raised the bar through state certification that eventually led us to the electrical industry.

I launched my career in industrial electricity when I was 20 years old. I appreciated the trade and the expertise I gained, I decided to branch into both commercial and residential as well. I earned my general contractor license and my C-10 electrical contractor license, and since I enjoyed working with clients, starting my own business felt like a natural step.

We are a family-run electrical contractor based in La Verne, CA. Established in 1982, we offer a wide range of electrical services. We specialize in various electrical tasks such as service work, remodels, can lighting, panel upgrades, additions, ceiling fans, home theater systems, flat panel TV mounting, commercial projects, machine connections, 3 phase power, and 277/480 volt power.

Martin Scherer earned his C-10 electrical license in September 1982. We have been serving the San Gabriel Valley ever since. The business is run by the Scherer family, including Marty, Tina, and Jason.

Jason, our operations manager, manages the everyday activities of the company.

I started my path in the electrical field as a child, learning the basics from my dad while tinkering with an H.O. train set. This early exposure fueled my passion, prompting me to study basic electricity and electronics in high school and expand my knowledge in junior college. After joining the U.S. Air Force, I trained as a weapons mechanic, where I was responsible for maintaining the electrical systems of F-4 aircraft.

After returning home, I resumed my career at Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company, dedicating five years to perfecting my craft. Eventually, I took the plunge and launched my own business as an electrical contractor. This was when I started to understand the complexities of the trade—knowledge that I still pursue every day. I am convinced that the day I stop learning will be the day I retire or leave this world.
