Post-Navy, Ron held various roles as an electronics expert in the private sector. His experience includes Satcom on offshore oil rigs, wireline services in oil fields, and uninterruptible power supply production. Ron completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at UC San Diego. He also completed an MBA in 2005. As an trainee engineer, he worked with gas turbine systems, Shipboard Power Distribution Systems, and solar energy systems. At present, he is a drilling reservist in the US Army Reserve as a Warrant Officer specializing in signal systems. His entrepreneurial spirit has led him to starting his own business, he managed a venture in his free time. In 2013, he founded RLB Engineering LLC and continues to provide his services in his off-hours. A California native, he has traveled around the world and has settled in California, where he intends to stay.
