I grew up immersed in the trades. My father had an excavation firm, and I learned the ropes with a shovel. I joke that I have a PhD in shoveling. He encouraged me to work alongside different tradesmen every summer while I was in high school. I started with my Godfather, who is an electrician. In the summer after that, I worked alongside a plumber and a land surveyor. During my third summer, I was assigned a ""project house"" to renovate and sell. While the profits were modest, I gained valuable insights into home systems. Eventually, I gained experience with an HVAC company, installing furnaces and A/C units. These opportunities equipped me with a strong foundation for my own business.
