Since the age of 13, I have immersed myself in construction, raised in the Sierra Nevada mountains. I spent 17 years helping to establish a national construction business (REC Solar), where the residential part became SunRun and the commercial side was taken over by the largest utility firm in the nation (Duke Energy). In December 2020, I left to start my own company in 2021, but I have been a licensed contractor since 2008, having been the license holder for my former employer.

I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
