I am the son of Calvin, a mason by trade, and I have memories of working alongside him since childhood. Later, he shifted to general contracting, where he built a variety of homes. I carried bricks, blocks, and cement, assisting him with whatever he needed. When he built homes, I was there to lend a hand; I think I drilled my first electrical hole at age 7. Honestly, as I grew older, I developed a dislike for construction and sought other opportunities. While attending college, I took a job with an electrical contractor that was supposed to last only three days. I did well and wrapped up the work in a day and a half. He mentioned that I could continue working if I kept myself busy. I realized I loved the work and had a talent for electrical wiring. Eager to marry, I left school and committed to working full-time as an electrician. Fast forward 20+ years, I now own my own business, have been happily married for 24 years, and have six kids. I am grateful for all my blessings.
