Bill earned his Electrical Engineering degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Edward received his degree in Industrial Technology from Cal Poly. In 1989, the sons purchased the business from Clarence and his wife. Electrical Engineering was integrated into our services in 1981 and has expanded consistently since then. Our workforce typically ranges from 60 to 70 employees, peaking at 150 during a five-story hospital project in Santa Maria for Marian Hospital in 2011. Our company includes divisions for Electrical Engineering, Major Electrical Construction, Small Electrical Construction, and Electrical Services. “Every project matters, no matter the scale”. Thoma Electric can manage nearly any project from inception to completion, covering design and construction. We provide Data/Comm services, copper and fiber work, solar installations, and emergency standby power systems. In 1983, I graduated with a BS in Industrial Technology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Between 1984 and 1986, I worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at National Semiconductor, specializing in wafer fabrication. I returned to SLO in 1986 to take on the roles of Estimator and Project Manager at Thoma Electric. I now serve as the Company Safety Director and Manager of the Service Plus division, overseeing small to medium electrical projects.
