I grew up in Orange County, the child of a small business owner. My dad ran a thriving upholstery shop for more than 35 years, with a strong emphasis on providing quality craftsmanship. He wasn't one to brag about his abilities or invest much in marketing, yet as his reputation grew through word of mouth, his customers became lifelong patrons. I learned valuable lessons from him about treating customers with integrity and building a loyal customer base rather than chasing quick profits. During summers, I assisted my father in revamping old furniture for a new life. My mother worked for an electrical contractor in her youth and would tell captivating stories about the people she worked with. That’s how I first encountered the electrical industry. I have been an electrician since 1984 and completed a formal five-year apprenticeship. Although my business model is different from my dad's, I run my business with the same foundational values he imparted to me!
