In April 1995, Jerry Gubrud established Gubrud's Electrical Contracting Inc. The company originated from Jerry's passion for electrical repairs and services, a skill he learned from his father during his youth, along with experience gained from working with various companies during his apprenticeship and journey to becoming a journeyman electrician. Once Jerry met the qualifications to apply for his C-10 electrical contractor's license, Gubrud Electrical Contracting Inc. was established, focusing mainly on residential and commercial remodels and service work. Since that time, we have evolved into a business dedicated to providing electrical services primarily for homeowners. Jerry has consistently found joy in working with homeowners, relishing the opportunity to improve the safety of both older and newer homes in the greater Sacramento region by updating electrical systems to align with current needs.

I am Jerry Gubrud, and I began my journey in electrical work as a teenager, learning from my father, who was an electrician. At eighteen, I started my apprenticeship, kicking off my career as an electrician immediately after graduating high school. Having spent my entire life in Sacramento, I have a deep appreciation for this community. I married my high school sweetheart, who is an integral part of the company today, and she is still the love of my life after 30 years. We have three wonderful daughters who have all contributed to the company at various times to gain work experience. My goals for the future involve developing the company into a complete home service provider and becoming a respected name in the community.
