In 2005, I joined WECA, an electrical training program, knowing very little about building trades. Over the course of the five-year commercial and residential apprenticeship, I acquired comprehensive skills in various electrical systems. Simultaneously, I watched other trades, sought advice, and gained insights through trial and error.
I finished the apprenticeship program within the expected timeframe in 2010, although I lacked enough hours due to the 2009 market downturn, which resulted in a slowdown lasting two years.
I grew tired of being the junior member on the totem pole. Not wanting to travel for extended durations, I encountered layoffs whenever work slowed down. Consequently, I chose to build my own totem pole. With every layoff, I started making moves to start my own venture and nurture it to grow. It was thriving, but I encountered numerous opportunities for jobs over $500 (the limit for a handyman license), and insufficient jobs below that limit. Therefore, I scaled back the handyman business and worked towards obtaining my license as an electrical contractor.

I launched my career as an Electrical Apprentice for Union Pacific. Having earned my Journeyman certification, I founded my own enterprise by advertising in the Penny Saver and community newspapers. My main expertise lies in residential electrical work, I’ve worked with notable commercial clients, including Farmers Insurance, Carmax, and Napa Auto Parts. During my leisure hours, I spend my spare time traveling, motorcycling, and updating my homes.
