While studying at Parks College of Aeronautical Technology in Illinois, I met Anne, who later became my wife. We settled in Burbank, California, where I finished my apprenticeship, passed the California Electrical Contractor Test, and received my license. I founded Modern Electric in 1984 to serve local clients. Following that, I studied at Parks College of Aeronautical Technology in Illinois, where I received my commercial pilot and multi-engine licenses. It was there that I met my wife Anne, and I decided to stay grounded to raise a family.
We decided to elope and moved to Burbank, California, where I began an apprenticeship with a licensed electrical contractor and worked as a plant electrician for Pacific Aero.
Although I enjoyed my time at Pacific Aero, I sought a more direct connection with the community, leading me to establish Modern Electric in 1984.
It has been a great blessing to witness all four of our children graduate from Burbank Schools!
