McNamara Electric is dedicated to high-quality electrical work, supporting the Napa Valley area for the year 1987. Bill McNamara, our founder provides outstanding customer service and strives to wrap up each project with precision and with safety in mind. Identifying a good electrician who cares about both the work and the client is difficult. Bill does not cut corners in his projects.
Our expertise lies in luxury residential work and business work. We take on all types of electrical jobs that require quick completion and high standards.
Bill McNamara, a licensed electrical contractor since 1976, has been working as a licensed electrician. Bill started helping out in the family business in Atascadero, CA, where his dad launched a small family electrical business. At age 13, he completed the wiring for his initial home and shortly thereafter decided he wanted to create a venture. In 1986, he relocated to Napa Valley and started his contracting career at a race track for seven years called Sears Point Raceway, now called Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA. With the growth of Napa Valley's wine industry, so did. The demand for electrical contractors increased as wineries were constructed. For approximately 15 years, he subcontracted a well-respected electrical firm when needed. Currently, he offers service calls and minor projects.
Bill makes his home on a ranch in Angwin, California. He sponsors a community Midget racer, the talented Britton Bock. He takes his tasks—whether at work or in his leisure time—with seriousness and puts his heart into it. Bill always comes up with creative solutions—whether it concerns where to install a light fixture or the type of light bulbs to use. Customers often react with admiration, saying, “What a fantastic idea, Bill!”.
