I am the son of Calvin, a mason by trade, and I have memories of working alongside him since childhood. He eventually became a general contractor, constructing many houses. I assisted him by hauling bricks, blocks, and cement, helping with any task he had. When he built homes, I was there to lend a hand; I think I drilled my first electrical hole at age 7. Honestly, as I grew older, I developed a dislike for construction and sought other opportunities. While in college, I started a job with an electrical contractor that was initially intended to last only three days. I performed well and finished the job in just a day and a half. He offered me continued work if I stayed busy. I found that I truly enjoyed the work and had a knack for electrical wiring. Wanting to get married quickly, I dropped out of school and worked full-time as an electrician. More than 20 years later, I run my own business, have enjoyed 24 years of marriage, and have six children. God is good.
