I am the son of Calvin, a mason by trade, and I have memories of working alongside him since childhood. He later transitioned to a general contractor, building numerous homes. I assisted him by hauling bricks, blocks, and cement, helping with any task he had. I was always there to help when he built homes; I believe I drilled my first electrical hole when I was just 7. Honestly, as I grew older, I developed a dislike for construction and sought other opportunities. While in college, I started a job with an electrical contractor that was initially intended to last only three days. I did well and wrapped up the work in a day and a half. He mentioned that I could continue working if I kept myself busy. I found that I truly enjoyed the work and had a knack for electrical wiring. Since I wanted to marry soon, I left school and worked full-time as an electrician. Now, over 20 years later, I own my own business, have been happily married for 24 years, and have six children. I am grateful for all my blessings.
