Originally known as Ehinger Electric, we began as an electrical construction firm in San Diego, specializing in public works and tenant improvements. My wife and I made the decision to move to the central coast in 2007, seeking proximity to our family in the Bay Area. I was also working on a new business plan to pivot my company from construction to a service-oriented model. While we were unaware of it back then, this transition proved to be fortuitous as the construction industry faced considerable challenges in the years ahead. Starting over in a new region of California was challenging, but we are grateful to be here. Having served the central coast for more than 15 years and established a reputation for excellence, we eagerly anticipate many more fruitful years. Being the son of Calvin, a mason, I remember working with him since I was a child. Later, he shifted to general contracting, where he built a variety of homes. I assisted him by hauling bricks, blocks, and cement, helping with any task he had. When he built homes, I was there to lend a hand; I think I drilled my first electrical hole at age 7. Truthfully, I came to dislike construction as I aged and wanted to explore different avenues. While attending college, I took a job with an electrical contractor that was supposed to last only three days. Things went well, and I completed the work in a day and a half. He told me I could keep working if I remained productive. I found that I truly enjoyed the work and had a knack for electrical wiring. Wanting to get married quickly, I dropped out of school and worked full-time as an electrician. More than 20 years later, I run my own business, have enjoyed 24 years of marriage, and have six children. I am grateful for all my blessings.
