He was born in Quincy, Massachusetts, and was raised in Buena Park, California. His father was also an electrician. For a time, he lived in Fontana, CA, where started his family, before moving to Big Bear Valley in 1990. He studied at Cal State Fullerton College, and he enjoys piano playing, while history is his favorite subject. Brought up Catholic, he goes to Mass regularly.
