Joe Petranka, born in Montgomery, Alabama, began his career as an electrician in 1969 mentored by Griffin T. Key PE. He received his Master Electricians Certificate in 1977 and spent over 20 years designing and overseeing the installation of electrical systems rated up to 15KV. He was a pioneer in the introduction of innovative lighting systems and network installations with copper and fiber in the River Region back in the 1970s and 1980s.
