In 1972 Chuck Turner join as a partner of Tennis Jackson Electric Company and expanded security system design and setup. By 1978 the separation of the firm's security services from the electric side, and in the following year it became JSS. During that year, JSS purchased Business Security Services in the Tuscaloosa area.

In 1988, Chuck Turner took ownership of both the power and security services and integrated the companies. In 1992, Turner's son, Brad was designated to the role of Vice President of Jackson Security Services, and in 2000, Essary was recruited as Vice President and General Manager.

In 2014, Jackson Electric Services joined forces with a comparable firm in the local region. At present, Jackson Security Services continues its dedication to quality. Essary remains at the helm the company as its General Manager and VP.
