Dobbs & Company Electrical Contractors
1402 4th Ave SE, Decatur AL 35601
Lighting Fixtures & Equipment, Electricians
We provide round-the-clock electrical repair services as well as planned service. When you face electrical issues, you deserve the assurance of an expert who will identify your concern and restore your system back to operational as soon as possible. We steer clear of flat rate billing. Flat rate pricing is set to make certain that the company is adequately compensated, not the customer. For example, if our flat rate to replace your main breaker panel is $1,800 and it requires only half the time, you are the one at a disadvantage. Such pricing are established to cover the worst-case scenario to ensure the contractor profits. While this may seem fair, if your situation do not necessitate a worst-case scenario, you shouldn’t have to pay for it. Our invoicing is based on actual job costs with a reasonable markup and tax. You get what you pay for and we are compensated for what we have worked for.
Our business was taken over in October 1999 from Ronald Terry Electric, Inc. We rebranded in January 2012 to Dobbs & Company. Our expertise includes domestic, corporate, and manufacturing work.
Our owner, Greg is a local of Morgan County and the youngest child of David and Wonda Dobbs. He grew up in a building family, as his father worked in the trade industry in North Alabama for over four decades. Before purchasing Ronald Terry Electric, he was part of one of the biggest industrial electrical contractors in the area. His work history included roles as an industrial electrician in high voltage, PLC programming, and systems design. During his last years with the company, he served as the lead electrical estimator. Greg has also worked the steel industry, the automotive industry, aircraft manufacturing, copper fabrication, home appliance manufacturing, food and grain processing, the chemicals and film industry, cryogenic technology, and the electronics industry. With this wide-ranging experience from fieldwork to management, it was a logical step for him to launch his own business.
