Dobbs & Company Electrical Contractors
1402 4th Ave SE, Decatur AL 35601
Lighting Fixtures & Equipment, Electricians
We provide round-the-clock electrical repair services and scheduled service. If you encounter electrical issues, you need the assurance of an expert who will diagnose your issue and get your system back to operational without delay. We steer clear of flat rate billing. This pricing model is set to guarantee that the contractor is properly compensated, not the customer. For instance, if our flat rate to install your main breaker panel is $1,800 and it takes only half the time, you end up the loser. Flat rates are established to cover the worst-case scenario to make sure the contractor profits. While this may seem fair, if your circumstances do not require a worst-case scenario, you ought not to pay for it. Our billing process is based on true job costs with a fair markup and tax. You get value for your money and we earn what we have earned.
The company was taken over in the fall of 1999 from Ronald Terry Electric, Inc. We rebranded in January 2012 to Dobbs & Company Electrical Contractors, Inc.. Our services cover residential, business, and factory work.
Greg is a Morgan County native and the youngest child of David and Wonda Dobbs. He grew up in a construction-focused family, as his father worked in the trade industry in North Alabama for over four decades plus. His experience included roles as an industrial electrician in high-voltage environments, PLC programming, and systems design. During his last years with the company, he served as the lead electrical estimator. His background includes work in steel mills, the auto industry, aviation, copper fabrication, appliance manufacturing, food production, the chemicals and film industry, cryogenics, and the electronics industry. Given his diverse experience from hands-on work to supervisory roles, it was a clear path for him to start his own business.
