Zellner sent an electrician out to my house yesterday to solve 2 longstanding problems I was having with exterior lines. I had a GFCI outlet that was tripping whenever it rained heavily and I had two overhead porch lights that would trip a circuit breaker from time to time. He quickly found shorts in one of the overhead lights and in one of the boxes (where the cable folks had worked previously) that was on the GFCI circuit. The wiring in the box with the actual GFCI socket was ok but the GFCI outlet had to be replaced too. Net result was about an hours worth of work to fix problems that I have had for several years. Needless to say I'm very happy with the results.

Derrick Zellner and his crew always provide outstanding service for all our home electrical needs. They are all very professional, polite, and competent. They are also very conscientious about doing a good job, and making sure the customer is happy with their work. Their prices are quite fair and reasonable. What's not to like???

I would use them in the future and recommend them to friends and family.

I expect that most customers would appreciate a business that explains service, and what to expect in advance.

I only wish that I could find other services that offered as much assistance.

Amazing service! These guys came out the day I called them and fixed several electrical arcing issues with outlets, ceiling fan dimmers, and bathroom vent motors. They were very nice, professional and very affordable! I will absolutely call these guys out again the next time something comes up!

I have used Derrick with Zellner electric for almost 10 years now. I use him for my business and house. He always answers the phone and does what he says he will do in a timely matter. His company is growing more and more every day. I hire Derrick and never look back!!

Had to wait two weeks to get Mr. Z, but it was worth the wait. Several other companies just didn't want to install a big TV (the electrical connections) -- too small pickins' for them, but he did come out and complete the job, including a trip to the very hot attic! He will get all my electrical business from now on.

I contacted Zellner Electric based on the reviews on this site. I am really disappointed in the service that I have not received. Deryck was very friendly and listened to my needs. He then asked me to send him an email outlining what work I needed done and some photos of the equipment that would be installed after he completed the electrical. I sent the email but never got a response. So I called to ensure that I had sent it to the correct email address. Deryck told me that he had received the email but had not had a chance to review it yet. Now almost a week later I still have not heard a word from Zellner. No call...no return email nothing. I know that the little that I need done will not make or break them but I would have liked to at least heard from them. Even if they would not have time to do the work I need completed. I am now three business days away from when I need this work completed and will have to research another electrician to come do the work. Very disappointed. Would not recommend them for small jobs at least...they dont seem to get much attention.

The price I was quoted on the phone from Mr. Zellner was $140 to install 4 fixtures, and he estimated it would take around 2 hours (he also mentioned price might be less if it took less time). After it was all said and done, Mr. Zellner charged me $150 (more than initial quote), for what took him and his assistant about 30 minutes to complete. When I explained that the price he quoted was less than this, Mr. Zellner said he was actually ""giving me a deal"" because he charges $45 per fixture to install (which he never mentioned on the phone). The work was fine, but the feeling of being taken advantage of, is not a pleasant one. I will not be using his services again.

My family has found ourselves in uncharted territory. My father who has done renovations for the last 30 + years and was also an electrician was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in the middle of a kitchen renovation. All he could remember was he did not finish the connection of the electrical to the main box. We called Zellner, explained the situation, he came out very quickly. He checked the electrical work, double checked things and was VERY professional about it. We even had to ask Dad a few questions and Zellner was great. I am stationed overseas most of the time and being able to meet someone who I can trust to take care of my in law's electrical needs while I am out of town is invaluable. I trust the Zellner team. I received the answers I needed in a way I understood, for a VERY reasonable price. This is one business card we keep on the fridge. Thank you for the peace of mind.
