Five Stars, and I didn't hired the guy. I called around for estimates on a weekend evening, and when I got to Emmett, I gave my electrical ""symptoms"" and he gave his ""diagnosis"" then said I could do it myself, and save my $90. He was super helpful and patient with my questions, and I never gave him money. His advice worked, and my problem solved. Based on this experience, and other reviews here, I would go to him first, and last. Thanks Emmett!

I called Emmett Zediker to troubleshoot some track lighting. It was behaving peculiarly and worried me that it may be unsafe. The previous owner of this house had asked an electrician to fix it and he could not. I called Zediker Electric. Emmett found the problem. After a complete assessment, he diagnosed two causes -- incorrect hookup at the initial installation and a broken insulation on one wire. He fixed both and everything works fine now. Because I was interested, throughout the process he explained what he was doing and why. I definitely will call Zediker Electric again if I need more electrical work. I am not employed by Zediker. I did not receive any reward from Zediker. I am not related to Zediker.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have run into Emmett Zediker at the electrical supply store while I was attempting a DIY lighting project. He saved me from undoubtedly throwing more money away on the project that still would be incomplete without his help that fateful day. I called Emmett Zediker this morning for an emergency repair. He said he would be at my house by 1 or 2pm. He showed up at 12:45pm and fixed my problem with a smile and enthusiasm rarely found in the trades. He actually said, ""I love my job"" once he diagnosed the problem. He is quite possibly the sweetest electrician I've ever met.

I recommend him highly. I called another electrician early this morning and they never got back to me. Emmett is responsive, knowledgeable, and very kind! He's someone you want on speed-dial!

I did a full remodel of my home and Emmett was the electrician. He was able to install my towel warmers, my heated floors, as well as redoing my panel. His work was beyond my expectations. He showed up on time every time. Even the SF city inspectors raved about how neat his electrical panels were and even took a picture of the panel. He was worth every penny and I highly recommend him for his professionalism.

I spoke to Emmet on the phone about an issue that I was not sure was my dishwasher or my circuit/ outlet. After asking me some pertinent questions Emmet suggested that problem is probably my dishwasher and he did not want to charge me $90 for a service call to tell me the same thing.

I appreciated this. I have definitely had service providers charge me for a visit and tell me there was nothing they could do for me.

This kind of honest approach will have me going back to Emmet when we have electrical needs in the future.


a follow up note*** Emmet contacted me a few weeks later to ask if my issue was resolved and I was happy to tell him that he was right. It was a issue with a wire in our dishwasher that only the trained Bosch folks could address. I appreciated not having to pay him 90$ to tell me the same thing plus the additional fee to the Bosch guys to get it fixed. I appreciated his genuine concern and his follow up and I will definitely be calling him when the need arises!

Zediker Electric is the best electrician I have run across - bar none. And, trust me, I've had my share of electricians. I've always lived/own older homes - which translates into electrical problems.

Emmett was accessible, reliable, friendly, reasonable and smart! It took him less than 15 minutes to diagnose what another unnamed electrician could not figure out. He also pointed out some other problem areas, which in turn, saved me big trouble down the road.

Emmett rocks!!
