Called this am to see if I could get a new thermostat. Gal on the phone was NO help and had NO idea what she was takling about. I told her I have a floor heater and it is working fine, I just need a new thermostat. She said is it gas or electric? I told her it is a gas heater, she said we don't deal with gas and maybe I should call the person who put the thermostat in before. Well, I said the house was built in 1952, who do you suppose I should call. Thanks Mark Maynard for the referrel, but no thanks this is not a company I will work with nor refer. I too own a company and having someone who answeres the phone should either know what they are talking about or get somone who does. First bad review I have written in 5 years. Only 0ne star,at least she was polite.

Good electrical work, bad pricing compared to alternatives. I used them previously a couple years ago for a new outlet on one side of vanity as well as a small wiring job. The electrician they sent was professional and competent. He had to wire through the attic but did so with minimal dry wall damage which was appreciated. At the time, it was about $300 to get the outlet installed (I do think I charged an extra half hour or so because of a ""break"" the electrician took.)

Regardless, I was happy with the service so when we needed similar work done in our new home along with a couple dimmer switches installed, we decided to contact them again. What a huge waste of time. First, we had to make an appt to have someone come give an estimate and then wait several days for an estimate to come back. When we got the estimate back, it was almost $700!! This seemed pretty unreasonable for a new outlet (regardless of how complicated the wiring be) and a couple dimmer switches so I contacted several other places for estimates. I was provided estimates/responses immediately and HALF the price. And all had availability within the week for the job - no coming for an estimate and then sending estimate later, all to have to reschedule an appt for them to come back to do the actual. Sorry, but nobody has time for that - if you have a real job. But maybe the people that can actually afford the work at ZED don't have to work...

Anyway, in short, believe their electrical work is solid but could definitely improve customer service, availability and pricing.

An electrician from Zed cam to our home this morning on short notice to do some work that was beyond what our handyman could handle. The office employee was very helpful about squeezing us in, and let us know when the electrician was on the way. The electrician was top notch and did an excellent job for us. We've used Zed many times over the years--- we've had great service and fair prices in every case.

Zed electric is amazing!! we had a huge job that was needed on our 1963 house. rewiring the entire house, panel upgrade, exterior lights installed. new switches through out our home. Not only are the team at Zed professional, they are timely, friendly and fulfilled everything they had promised and beyond. Even after the job was done I had called them on many occasions with questions. They AWAYS took my calls and answered all my questions. They are reasonably priced and just sooooo good!! If you need an electrician, look no further. Give them a call, you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

We've used Zed Electric for several projects. We've also used another licensed electrician on a few occasions. The difference in workmanship and professionalism was an eye-opener for us. The city inspector found several issues with the work of the non-Zed contractor whereas all Zed Electric work passed with flying colors! We learned our lesson and are now grateful Zed Electric clients.

Left a message on the owners phone Sunday of Labor Day weekend, with little hope of a call back. Maybe five minutes later the owner called me personally. The issue was basic, but my electrical knowledge was even more basic. He walked me through the solution on the phone and charged me nothing. He probably knew from my message he wasn't going to get paid, but called anyway and kinda saved my weekend. What a guy! My first and only stop for electrical work from now on!

First time customer and could not be more pleased! I have a complicated, work and knowledge intense project going. Nile has been the electrician in charge. He is a marvel. Worked very very hard, did not finish each day until he and I were satisfied with the days work. Couterous, professional and local! There were two other electricians at my home today with Nile. They also were very good. I do have to say, Niles work ethic and knowledge is exceptional. I will recommend this company, and will use them again!

As part of a Buyer's inspection associated with the sale of our downtown condo, we needed some electrical outlets repaired and brought up to code. We needed the work done by a licensed electrician and done quickly to support our closing date. Zed was booked solid for the next 10 days, but promised to let us know if something opened up sooner. Based on previous experience with other service providers, we thought we would have to wait the entire 10 days. But, the day after setting our appointment for 10 days out, we received a call from Zed saying they could fit us in that afternoon. The electrician showed up on schedule, did the work very effectively and quickly. He was very polite and knowledgeable, had all the tools and materials that he required, and minimized the amount of billed hous. We were extremely happy with the service and highly recommend ZED.
