We have owned our 1912 registered historic home in Hancock Park for 24 years. Our trusted electrician retired a few years after we did our big renovation in 1999 and we've tried 4 or 5 companies since and have always been disappointed. Now, we have BERNIE!! From simple jobs--replacing plugs/switches/fixtures--to bigger jobs like huge flood and security lights, he and Edy have done the work perfectly and fairly. Now, after removing an old tree, we found a 40 year old electric line that freaked my landscaper out. Bernie showed up within the day, saw it was a dangerous situation, asked my landscaper to trench so he could get to work right away. I can't tell you how grateful I am for Bernie Zavala!

Upon requesting multiple quotes and based also on other yelp reviews we decided to hire Mr Zavala and his company to update our electrical panel and do some minor electrical work around the house. He took care of the permit and the inspection, we didn't have to deal with the city at all. His pricing was the best, the job was well done in a timely fashion, and his team even returned the aspect of the walls they had worked on to their original selves ( other electricians we requested quotes from, told us to hire a handyman to re do the stucco and the paint ). Overall we are very pleased and we highly recommend Zavala Electric.

I needed my A/C condenser connected since my existing GC decided to nickel-and-dime me for the physical connection claiming it wasn't included in his scope for finished electrical. The owner of Zavala Electric, Bernie heard my story and provided quality service and a great price to get the job done quickly. He actually got the work quoted and completed before my bait and switch contractor could even get me a quote. I was able to pass my HERS inspection for my ADU two days later since the condenser electrical was all that remained to complete this test. Bernie also gave me valuable info regarding my build. Zavala is a Reputable, honest, fairly priced 5-Star licensed electrician company. Highly recommended! Thanks Bernie! I'll keep you posted on how the rest of the build goes!
