Daniel came out and did an excellent job of removing the rat's nest of cables in old 100amp subpanel, which was completely insufficient for our power needs. He replaced it with a 200amp well wired sub-panel and even provided some additional outlets that I needed nearby. At each step he walked me through the problems with the old wiring and setup. He did this all very quickly - so I highly recommend him!

In Feb. 2021, I spoke to a number of electricians regarding our need for an EV charger. As part of the discussion, I included a number of small jobs around the house. For our initial walk-through, Daniel was on time and respectfully masked. After discussing my wish list, he was confident he and his crew could complete everything in a day. On the scheduled day, Daniel, Giovanni, and Santos arrived on time. They were respectful of social distancing with the kids in the house while they were in class. His crew trouble shot and fixed the boys' ceiling fan/light that I installed and wired poorly. The EV install was the big job (in my mind) and they got it done without a hiccup. I appreciated that they cleaned up after themselves. I'll certainly call Zair Electric the next time I have an electrical project!

He may be good with replacing an outlet or installing a light BUT for larger projects, dont DO IT, dont go by his words. For big ticket items, hire a LICENSED contractor (he is NOT LICENSED) who has to abide by the agreement and have a written agreement. If you go with him for any work, have that independently verified. He will throw in a freebie or a few niceties, some extra work to get a 5 star review and that is where all this skewed reviews begin.
He cuts corners (details below), his work cannot be trusted (details below), his workers dont clean after work and have an attitude of a royalty.
My issues with Daniel and Zair Electric:
1) Bait and Switch
2) Doesn't respond after the payment (his offers are all verbal, haven't received an invoice even after a month) (attached screenshot).
3) If he thinks that you are gullible, he and his team will take you for a ride

When Daniel came for appraisal he showed up on time and mentioned that its a simple job and gave a plan of how is was going to do. I consulted others, including some licensed and unlicensed electricians. His quote was the among the lowest, another unlicensed person gave a similar quote.
I took some time and called him to come over for the work. The next day he came, he changed his version of what was agreed upon (wanted a 200 amp breaker in my main panel) and bumped up the price from 3000 to 4500 (two ac points, 200 amp mainpanel and new 200 amp subpanel and grounding of the outlets) saying he'll replace the subpanel and add a 200 amp main panel. I asked him to send a message about what he is going to work on.
He started the work, started opening up the panels, cutting the stucco and all of sudden the VERSION AGAIN CHANGED, he said he will not have any main panel breaker now, there will only be a subpanel breaker.
His ""grounding"" of outlets involved, connecting the third pin to the box - electrical 101 tells you this is NOT grounding (if you are unaware, he will take you for a ride with this one). If mere connecting third pin to the box was all needed for grounding, why would I pay him 1200-1300 for that, I would have done that my self in 1/2 hour. When I questioned, he said, his team didn't know about it.
They dont care about your property, they unnecessarily cut two studs, used wrong tools, damaged the water heater's straps (this heater happened to be behind the subpanel he was installing and was a casualty of their negligence).
To add a cherry to the topping, he didn't close an open switch, which had a live wire coming out of it. When questioned through text, all he said was sorry and he will fix it when he comes back from Texas. Its been a month already - He doesn't respond to texts nor calls. I paid up for the work, I shouldn't have.

They left the stucco debris, screws near the outlet, my kiddo was trying to put it in mouth, fortunately we were around.
Even deep down, he knew this was a sub par work - he didn't send an invoice as of now - I'll deal with that later.

I got his reference through Yelp - I posted the work needed and Yelp associated four-five contractors. Yelp should do more homework about the contractors that it assigns - This person surely didn't stand up to the mark.

Zair did a lot of electrical fixes for me, including some GFCI work. There was a glitch with one GFCI outlet, but Daniel stands behind his warranty and fixes the problem. Thank you.

Daniel is very responsive and delivers high quality work at fair price. I worked with him twice. On the first occasion, he installed ceiling lights for our new home. He also installed a EV wall plug-in to our garage. He and his partner were fast, and worked clean & through on both occasions.

Incredibly professional, efficient, responsive, on time effective, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I cannot ask for anything better!

I made a request and Daniel came out immediately. He shared his vast knowledge and his quote was the most reasonable out of all the electricians and handyman I spoke to. He was quick to respond by text and call whenever I had a question. He immediately had someone knowledgeable out at my house to complete the work. He even came over to ensure that the work was properly done. The work was also done well and efficiently.

Had multiple outlets go out in my rental property and put a request out on Yelp for bids.

Made the mistake of going with the bid that said they would come out and diagnose the problem for free. Should have known there's no such thing. The ""free"" consultation turned into a $479 Tier 3 diagnostic to just figure out the problem.

Called Daniel and could immediately tell he was transparent about his pricing. I remember asking how long it would take, etc. The answer I got was ""I'm here to get in, fix the problem so I can move onto my next job""

That's exactly what he did. For half of what the other guy would have charged me to just diagnose the problem, Daniel came out, sourced the problem and replaced the circuit breaker that was the issue.

It's a small job, but that's how trust is built. Daniel would definitely be the first person I call next time I have electrical work.
