We needed our kitchen counter updated and replaced. They did a fantastic job. The job was finished on time, on budget in one week. When questions or concerns came up they were prompt and provided effective answers. The work was completed under Covid protocols and everyone was delightful to work with. Upon buying our home in early 2020, we knew we immediately wanted to remodel much of our home before moving in. After some research and looking at other projects they had done, we went with Z Design Construction. We have absolutely no regrets about this decision. I highly recommend them for the professionalism, work, materials used, quality, and precision. They have their own showroom and they have a wide variety of color combinations on tiles, cabinets, vanities, flooring, among everything else you might need and want.

Although the overall environment was challenging during these COVID-19 times, the team at Z Design Construction were very patient and accommodating. Once the work began, it became immediately clear that we were dealing with top-notch professionals who were responsive to our calls, texts, questions and thoughts from beginning to end. We were kept updated on status of each workstream and next steps.

Our contractor was Charles and he was terrific from start to finish. He was quick to raise concerns and offer solutions as we went along and was a true partner on the project. That, and he's an extremely kind person who truly cared about the outcome throughout and wanted the best for our family.

Charles and his team did a fantastic job from everything from the kitchen cabinets, kitchen countertops, installing/replacing light fixtures, bathroom vanities, bathroom tub/shower, flooring, and everything else they worked on. This is a company that employs great people who do very good work. They team was polite and also very good about cleaning up after they leave. This company really cares about rectifying problems if they do exist and ensuring customer happiness which will set them up for success for the long term.

This is a high-quality operation and we're thrilled we chose to go with them and look forward to partnering with them again on future projects.

We remodelled our Kitchen a couple months ago and were totally blown away with the professionalism of Charles. He was prompt in coordinating appointments for in-home consultation and was always available for any questions. He was kind enough to accomodate our last minute requests and there were no unexpected surprises in the end in terms of charges. His entire team was on-time and they cleaned up everyday at the end of their work shift. We were so impressed that we used his team to install engineered hardwood flooring after our kitchen was done. Overall, great work and Charles and his team lead by Bing will be the ones that come to my mind if i need to do anything else at my home. I have already recommended him to a few of my friends.

We have recently done our kitchen remodeling with Charles and his team before moving into the new property. It was really easy to communicate with Charles (I didn't realize how important this is in the beginning, especially when the project needs to be completed by certain date) over the period of the project. He was responsive, and also patient to answer questions from us with all the details. Our experience of selecting the materials were also quite positive. As some other reviewers mentioned, the pricing was reasonable and transparent. We also needed to replace our dishwasher after the project was done, and Charles sent Bing to complete the task the very next day we asked for it, which was quite impressive and helpful.

You can't make any factual HONEST, truthful review on yelp about a business if negative, because yelp makes it money from them.
My experience with Z Design is a negative 5, sales peoples extremely rude, arrogant, their inventory not price, so you have to ask. Their contractor ""Charles"" claiming to be the owner, didn't show up to appointment, without any apology.
Their Contractor license is under Wanyi Zhao, none of their workers speak a word in English! Is it crossing the line expecting businesses to respectfully communicate in English in a predominantly English speaking country? Chinese speaking neighbors who've used them pay a fraction of what other contractors charge for the same jobs, how is that possible?

Charles and his team were amazing. He finished the entire remodel within 10 days. I concur with the other reviews regarding Charles communication during the entire process. There were no unexpected charges during the entire process. Charles's pricing was transparent, reasonable, and fair.

Like most remodeling, minor issues popped up after the remodel was finished. Charles and his team fixed the issues immediately even though it was the day after Thanksgiving!

I don't normally write a review but Charles and his crew deserves an honest and good recognition for their outstanding job and work ethics in transforming our old school kitchen into a more efficient and modern looking one. I was actually shopping around for a good contractor for whom I can work with and trust so I called and spoke with several contractors that I thought I can work with comfortably and also to get an idea of our project's price range considering our budget in mind, but somehow none of them pass our criteria. Fast forward, I gave it another try and called Z Design (with 5 star rating on Yelp) and spoke with Charles to arrange a home estimate. So, I laid out my propose project to him while sharing his ideas and suggestions during our conversation. The following day he sent me the quote and after reviewing it with my wife, we decided to give him the green light to schedule the job base on his price estimate which is reasonable compared to other contractors. Also, I felt that he is honest, professional and someone that I can work with comfortably and it proves that I was right. Me and my wife were so glad that we hired him to do the job.
During the actual re-modelling of our kitchen, Charles and Bing (his foreman) always makes sure that it will be at least a less stressful process for us. He is always available thru phone calls, e-mails and text or even after working hours if you want him to assess the progress of the project or if you want to talk to him for some additional side projects. He is always prompt in updating his customers of the work that needs to be done the following day and communicate what fixtures and materials necessary during that day. All of his crew from the electrician, carpenter, plumber, stone cutter and installer works fast and efficient and always consults their customer if they are not sure of something.
There was one instance where in there was a part of the mosaic back splash that wasn't installed properly, so I took a picture of it texted it to Charles and the following day his crew fixed the issue. Also, with regards to buying the materials like counter top stone/quartz and some fixtures that were needed, Crystal from the Z design showroom is knowledgeable and she is very helpful to us. We are so Happy with the outcome of our Kitchen remodeling project and I would definitely recommend Charles and his Team for any home improvement project. I will definitely consider of hiring him again for any future projects.
