Would give zero stars if it were possible, because that would be most in line with the work he did. He simply failed to show up. No call. Just never came. Had been in touch with him that very day about his arrival time. Noticed that the other negative review on here happens to be someone I know well. Makes me wonder who these other people are writing the positive ones. Hmmm.....

Ty did a terrible job. First, he quoted a price and then increased it by $100 upon arrival knowing that the sinks had already been removed. Then, He installed the plumbing in the most haphazard way possible, resulting in a leak under the sink. When I called him back, he complained that it wasn't leaking when he left so he shouldn't be responsible. Eventually he agreed to come back, but when he installed it, he switched the waterlines such that the hot water was coming out of the cold side and vice versa. He made several appointments to come back to fix that, but never showed up. I would highly discourage anyone from using his services.

Ty was very responsive at first. Gave me prices. We set a next day appointment. He showed up (late) reviewed the scope of work. He was able to install the ceiling fan. He had problems installing the door locks. I returned them to Lowe's. He was able to install the new locks. Had difficulty installing the biometric lock on the front door but finished it the second day (late again). Took out a working security light and installed the new one backwards. Then kept making excuses about when he could come back. Couldn't fix it. Said he'd refund the cost. ""Check is in the mail."" Two weeks later still no check. ""I'll VENMO the refund."" Never did. He didn't clean up after the job. I had to. His prices didn't match his quotes. He's not a licensed contractor but broke the rule about charging no more than $500 for a job. All in all, few tools, slow, inexperienced, unreliable, expensive and never refunded for unfinished work. There are better choices out there.

My experiences with handyman guys has always been hit or miss until today. Spoke to Ty yesterday evening about installing a new water heater and setup a appointment today to meet a Lowe's. Assisted me in selecting a replacement water heater, explained the additional parts I need to also buy and delivered to my house. When he was ready to do the Installation he verified the price he quoted on the phone which was acceptable to me and performed the install. Everything was done to my complete satisfaction. Definitely will be using Ty again on some other repairs I need to have done.

My experience with Ty was exceptional. The water heater in my condo went out and hot water doesn't last as long. Considering the old age of the unit, I would like to replace it instead of repair. Called Ty in the morning and he came out promptly to meet me at the Home Depot to pick up the parts. He is very knowledgable and professional and had to run back to get additional parts. All is done nicely and tenants are happy that hot water is running in a day. I would highly recommend neighborhood handyman services.
