Tommy Young, who leads Young Electric, started his electrical career as an apprentice in 1999. During his time in electrical trade school, he earned the title of Apprentice of the Year four times out of five. After receiving his Journeyman license in 2002, he managed various projects as the Foreman for a prominent electrical contractor in Central Texas.

He has worked on projects such as Baylor University Flats Dorms, Summit Dental Lab, Doris Miller YMCA, Loop 340 Lipsitz Scrap Yard, and Glen Rose Elementary HVAC Renovation.

In 2007, he started estimating and earned his Master License in 2008. Master Electrician # 169318

As a Project Manager/Estimator, he oversaw numerous projects including:

MCC Emergency Services Center, several Waco ISD projects; Waco ISD Admin Building renovations, Veteran Field lighting renovations, Viking Hills HVAC, and Carver Middle School Lighting & HVAC

Dawson School, Pleasant Olive Baptist Church, Dr. Thrasher Dental Office, Genco Federal Credit Union, L-3 Fabric Hangar, Baylor Crasar Labs, Baylor BEC Since 1999, Tommy has been involved in the electrical industry. Starting as an apprentice, he progressed to obtain his Master's License in 2008.
