Very pleased with the installation of my generator transfer switch by YK Electric. Young was very quick to respond to my inquiry and able to come out and quote my project the same day.

His quote was fair and inline with some other quotes I received. Young indicated he has experience installing these transfer switches and was very detailed in what is involved.

After the recent winds and power outages, I decided finally to have a transfer switch installed so I would not have to run extension cords all over my house again.

I chose a 10 circuit 30 amp switch which will power what I needed during and outage.

My family and I came up with a plan of what we needed to run and marked the corresponding breaker in our panel.

We chose:
Garage doors
Freezer
Refrigerator
Internet
Kitchen/Microwave
Main bathroom lights
Bathroom outlets
Family room lights/outlets
Internet
Security cameras/outdoor lights

These circuits worked for us. You may have different needs or setup. Having these already picked out and marked saved time and cost.

I am probably going to use YK Electric for more projects in the future.
