When our air conditioning went out about a month ago, we had nice enough weather that I was able to spend a couple of days to find the best A/C system value. After quotes from several A/C dealers in the area, I found Xtreme Air Services gave me the best overall quote, which was both reasonable and for a unit that was well-sized to my home. Lindel could not have been more friendly and informative during the process, and his team were professional and did a great job on the install! I would recommend Xtreme Air Services again to any of my family and friends.

Update: The safety switch on my A/C was triggered a few days ago because of a clog in our drainage lines (unrelated to the new install). Samuel came out on his lunch break and spent two hours to find the clog and fix the problem. He didn't charge us because of the recent A/C install. This is how you build a long-term customers, and we plan to engage Xtreme Air in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. I was out of town when my husband text me disastrous photos of our ceiling on the floor due to a back-up in the AC system in our attic. I was watching a Texas Ranger game and saw a commercial for Xtreme Air. It was about 7:30pm. I called and a real human being answered the phone and there were two technicians at our home in 20 minutes. Chad and Sam were wonderful and made my husband feel at ease during a very upsetting incident. Apparently the last AC people had disconnected the emergency drain. They were there for a couple of hours. They got everything unclogged and running smoothly again and then called DryForce to come out to start the drying a repair process. You would think the charges for coming out after hours would be astronomical. No!!! I was shocked at the low price. We also bought a service contract which gives us 2 free check-ups per year, as well as a plumbing check. I have had Chad and Sam back to check out our dampering system which had also been disconnected. They were so nice and, right away, I saw why my husband was so impressed. They were on time, thorough, and did a great job. We have only been in our home for a year and a half and have had terrible luck, obviously, with AC companies. Now, our worries are over. We have great AC professionals we can trust, as well as plumbers. I've already had Ruben out to check my plumbing. He came out very quickly and was very professional, as well!!! Thank goodness I'm a Ranger fan!!!!

I scheduled service for them to check my AC system. I informed them on the phone that I had a coupon for the tune-up ($49). They were late coming. I understand that every job won't be completed on time, but they didn't call to tell me they were running late until it was 30 minutes from my scheduled appointment time. I had other vendors to meet with and errands to run. They said they would call me when they were leaving Garland which is at least one hour from my home (if you use the toll longer if you don't use the toll).

I had plenty of time to run some errands from the time they called me. They called me, not when they were en-route as they promised, but after they had arrived at my home and didn't get an answer to the doorbell. Fortunately, I was only 10 minutes away. They seemed very knowledgeable (There was 2 of them.). They spent some time in the attic as well as inside my home checking out the thermostat and the filter. They checked the outside unit and different parts and told me that I needed 2 pounds of Freon. I agreed for them to put it in.

After they had finished putting the Freon into the unit, they told me that I actually needed 4 pounds. Instead of spending the $49 that I expected to spend, I ended up spending $180 (They said they wouldn't charge for the maintenance checkup. I hope not after charging me for 2 pounds that I don't even know whether I received the additional 2 pounds or not.). I can understand the possibility of needing 2 pounds, but I don't know or understand how it went from needing 2 pounds to 4 pounds in what is a fairly new unit (The unit is only 5 years old and isn't used very much during the summer.).

These people are basically unknowledgeable scam artists. I saw their coupon for a $24.95 AC checkup including 1lb of freon. So the guy comes without the correct tools, no freon, and no ladder. He quickly tells me my unit is doing great, noting the air is blowing at 55 degrees. As soon as he leaves I notice the motor seems to be running a bit louder than before. Within 2 weeks, the compressor is also making extremely loud noises, so I then shut everything off & call them back. So now after being proactive, I find myself with a major repair. They come back out and the new tech, Joseph, can't wait to start the cheesiest up-selling rant I've ever heard in my life in any business field. He then proceeds to identify the compressor fan motor is bad without checking if a fuse or circuit is the cause. Next, he quotes me $780 for a new fan motor. The problem is that part is only $125, new from manufacturer. He also tried to say a new fuse is also required for $175, when that part is no more than $25 bran new anywhere you look. Finally, Joseph takes apart my compressor fan motor, mounting and fuse box by banging & prying it with a hammer & leaving the fan shaft in pieces ONLY to change his mind and determine that the part he was way over-charging me for infact is not the correct part and won't work after all. He then disappears for twenty minutes & reappears mumbling something about $6000 for a new unit. (1bedroom, 800 sq ft condo). He also said maybe he could get the right fan motor for $1000. At that point,I asked him to leave. Now I have my unit in pieces and its 104 degrees. DON'T USE EXTREME AIR!!!!! I wonder if I have any legal recourse????

My compressor was making loud noises and sounded like something electrical. When the techs go there they immediately told me it was my compressor. The diagnosis was that I needed to replace my compressor and condenser, low end was going to be $4000 to $6000. Long story short I got a second opinion from ""Speedy Services"" . Luis, the tech, took the compressor apart and found an electrical short, replaced it and I spent less than $200. I feel that Xtreme Air Services techs were trying to take advantage of me because I didn't know diddly squat about AC. Calling for a second opinion was a crucial decision and I'm glad I did it.
