Company Overview

Our services include electrical upgrades and troubleshooting for residential properties, as well as repairs for major appliances. Unfortunately, we do not handle small appliances, televisions, or brands like SubZero, LG, Samsung, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, and Bosch.

Since 1980, this family-owned company has been dedicated to keeping East O'ahu operational. You might say that the roots of appliance and electrical repair are deep in my family, with my father, Daniel W., as the founder. After his retirement, I took the reins and now manage the business alone. I feel fortunate to both live and work in this neighborhood, especially one that prioritizes community. Having grown up in East O'ahu, I view it as a blessing to manage a small business in this community.

Terrible, I called this place to service a Sears Kenmore Dryer because the heater element was not working at full capacity. The service technician arrived promptly, and was courteous. He refused to work on the machine, and here is his written quote ""Dryer is situated within a cabinet enclosure. Moving machine out and putting it back in would take too much time/effort. Maybe thermostat is bad.? -Will have to pass on this repair.""
He had the nerve to charge us $68.06 without performing any work.
Aftet he left, the maid who works for my mom pulled the dryer out of the cabinet in less than five minutes. This clothing dryer is a compact.

My washer stopped working right after the wash cycle this Saturday morning. I called a couple of repair shops and was worried that none would return my call so it was a relief to receive a callback from Woo's. Marvin was able to come over quickly in just 20 minutes and quickly assessed and repaired the problem in half an hour. I highly recommend him.

Okay, so I have a leaking LG front-loader. I called these folks and BAM right away at truck is at my door. Such excellent service they provide, they must understand having a major appliance out of commission can be very inconvenient!

Their tech Mike came out and, even though they don't work on LGs, he spent some time seeing if he could help. HO! Nice, yea? It turns out he could not help. I offered to pay him but he wouldn't take any money saying he's sorry he couldn't help.

How refreshing to find a company that is so caring! I'll for sure call them if my Whirlpool fridge starts acting up! Aloha :0)

Recommend highly. Called to schedule an appointment and got one for the following week. He fixed my disposal and my stove outlet without any problems.

Super nice guy, easy to get along with and most importantly he laid down towels where he worked and cleaned up after himself. All future electrical work will get a call to Marvin.

Highly recommended. I called - couldn't get an appointment right away, but glad that I scheduled something and waited. My appointment day came, the electrician called me right on time, showed up, and took care of my problem - light switches on the blink and not working. Replaced everything. And that was that. If only they could fix my washer too but they don't work on Samsung products. UGH! Otherwise, for all of your other needs, call Woos.

If you see a line, stand in it. That seems to be the protocol here in the islands where shortages abound. I must have sensed that this line was worth standing in, and it was.

Long story short, our refrigerator broke and Marvin was booked for two weeks out. Because of the rave reviews on Yelp, we waited by tossing almost all of our perishables and living out of two coolers. It was worth the first wait, and even the second.

Our refrigerator isn't a widely stocked one so the part had to be flown in from Sacramento. Total wait from our first scheduling would about three weeks. The part came in early however, so Marvin gave us a call between clients and fixed it the same day he received it.

I'm amazed at how well Woo's Electrical answers calls, keeps appointments and delivers on promises. This is an outstanding company for your appliance repairs. I would have given it even more stars if we could.

I hired Woo last month to look at my ceiling fans and was so disspointed with the service. I think he is having people post positive reviews on Yelp or something because based on his reviews is why I went with him but I was over-charged and given nonsense service. First of all, he literally showed up to my place, dropped off his assitant to do all the work, and left. So what type of expertise was I paying for in the first place? Then, his assistant (whose only task was to assess the ceiling fans and give a reccomendation) took SO LONG doing somehting that would normally take 15 mins so that he could stretch it into an hour in order to charge me for a full hour. At exactly one hour, he finally left, but Woo wasnt even there to pick him up! How unprofessional is that, to have his repair assistant just hanging out in front of my house after overcharging me while Woo was out on another job? I know other Yelpers have really given this guy high rates, but my experience with him (rather his assistant) was so dissapointing.

Awesome and friendly service! My washing machine went on the blink a couple of days ago, and the repair person I called at first didn't return any of my three calls; the second shop I called said they could send someone out to diagnose the problem, but I wouldn't get my machine fixed until next week! In desperation, I called and left a message for Marvin Woo; I was surprised that he called me back within 15 minutes! He told me he was pretty busy today, but he had a couple of calls in my neighborhood and would see if he could stop by. Sure enough, he came over around noon with Mike and they diagnosed my problem and changed my washer switch within a half an hour. What really impressed me was how personable Marvin was; I will always rely on Woo's from now on! Thanks Marvin!
