I have known Scott at Wooding Electric for over 15 years and all i can say is - he is the best. Over these years i have mostly used him for doing electrical work for my commercial buildings. He has done both 3 phase connection for my presses and more. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. The few times i used some other electrician as he was busy or was not available - i regretted it. I highly recommend him for any electrical work.

Scott installed a whole-house fan for us. He came with some good ideas (having a unit with multiple intake vents so we could cool different rooms, and putting multiple intakes for the largest room). He is very easy to work with, and a great & pleasant guy! He did all the work himself, and checked with us at every step to make sure it was as we wanted. Once the unit was first installed, we noticed some vibrations in one of the rooms. He came back out quickly & resolved the issue completely. Super happy, will definitely call Wooding Electric again for future work.

Called regard to some work I am needing. Require a payment for them to provide a proposal/estimate for the job. Seems like they want you to commit to them doing the work without an estimate so you wan't compare their bid to others. Seems fishy to me.

Scott had came out to repair my attic fan and had fixed the noisy sounds coming from it. I would definitely recommend Wooding Electric to my family and friends!

We have an older house that has some remodeling and circuits added. Lately our Dryer has not been heating and we found that one leg of the breaker was tripping. We had Scott come over to replace the breaker and also fix several breakers that were not correct. He was here when he said he would be and did a fantastic job correcting all the issues that had been building over time. I can highly recommend him and his company for any electrical work. You won't be disappointed.

I had a sudden electrical issue (tripped circuit breaker-severe short circuit) arise on a Sunday and left a message with another acclaimed-on-Yelp electrician. They called me back at Noon on Monday and said their next available appointment was in THREE MONTHS. Well, having part of my house without electricity for that long wasn't an option, so I checked Yelp again and found Wooding Electric. Jessica promptly answered the phone and was very professional. Quoted the service call fee and it seemed reasonable. Confirmed an appointment from 2-4 that day and Scott Wooding arrived toward the end of that timeframe. What a great guy. Hard working, knowledgeable, with a great sense of humor. He really seems to enjoy his job. My issue wasn't easy to pinpoint, and he didn't give up until he found it. In the process, he found one outlet with poor wiring (fixed) and two exposed connections (no junction box) in my attic. He took pictures of these issues that have been lying dormant for years.
Ultimately, the issue that caused my short circuit was a freak circumstance behind a seldom used drawstring light that had poor connections underneath it. He worked just under 3 hours and charged me a little more than 2x the 1 hour service call they quoted me. I will definitely call them again to fix my issues in the attic as well as replacing my ancient circuit breaker panel.

My house in Cupertino had strange electrical problems, like voltage not stable, light flickering, computer shut off when major appliance in use, etc. PGE guy came and found an issue with the service line coming to my house at backyard. PGE guy looked at my main service panel and told me there was a copper wire shouldn't be there, and I needed to fix it before they can change the line.
I had no idea as I didn't do anything electrical since I bought the house few years ago. I called Wooding Electric. They had operator to dispatch service call. Scott called back within the day. He came and looked, but not sure what the concern PGE had, said he need to check his contact. I called him the next day and he said he can fix it for $250. I agreed and Scott came coupe days later. He spent 20mins to remove a 15 inch ground wire from my main service panel. Scott told me PGE don't like any wire on their side of the panel.
I called PGE after, and they came to replace the service line to my house. All those strange electrical problems went away. Since it was a quick fix, I called Scott and asked for a discount. He told me 250 is already discounted. While I'm not sure about that, I'm glad PGE fixed the problem.

Wooding Electric came by yesterday to fix my doorbell. It had been going off for over 30 hours but was making a noise similar to a smoke detector, so you bet I was about ready to punch a hole through my wall.
When Scott arrived on the scene, he immediately spotted some nearby smoke detectors that the last owner had left in a box with the batteries still in (which is a waste of good batteries I'd say!). Although I was ready to pay the transportation/service appointment fee, Scott was cool and waived the fee.
Wooding was easy to get a hold of and schedule an appointment with. I got my appointment the day after I called, so that's a good turnaround time. The one mix-up was that I was told I would receive a discount for being a customer of my specific home warranty company, but when I called the home warranty company to send a work order to Wooding, they said they wouldn't send it to Wooding because it was for something the home warranty company does not cover. So I would have liked Wooding to have been a little more alert about that. The discount wasn't a deal-breaker though.
That said, I'd recommend giving them a call if you've got something that requires their expertise.

I contacted Wooding Electric to get help on replacing a heating element in a bathroom fan. Jessica is fast in response (via phone and email), nice to talk with. Scott is professional, honest and did a great job in a timely manner.
I would use them again for my future electric project.
Highly recommended.
Keep good working!

Like the others said, Scott Wooding is a great guy. He's professional, courteous, and does a great job in a timely manner. I highly recommend Wooding Electric.
One of the main feed wires in my electrical panel burnt itself out due to a bad previous install and half of my house was without power. The next morning I called Wooding Electric at 8:30 and they said a technician will be there at 10am. Scott showed up right on time then did a quick survey and told me everything that needed to be fixed or replaced and gave me a quote. I agreed and he went to work. He replaced the crappy previous panel, replaced the mast on the roof that connected to the lines from the pole, installed proper grounding, mounted a new higher capacity panel, connected all the wires, labeled it all and was done the same day (with help from an assistant)! Everything was back up and running and the new equipment looks great.
As far as price goes, I can't really comment because I didn't get any other quotes to compare it to; I just wanted it fixed as soon as possible the right way. Scott did a proper job and took care of the permits as well. Thank you Scott!
